Kellie Garrett is an executive coach, speaker and consultant with expertise in leadership, internal culture change, business strategy and governance. She coaches individuals, teams and boards.
As an executive coach, Kellie strives to help individuals and companies realize their potential. Her eclectic background as an executive includes experience in business strategy, enterprise risk management, internal cultural transformation, corporate communication, reputation, marketing, brand, research, corporate social responsibility, innovation and social media. Kellie has worked alongside an inspiring CEO and peers to shift the culture of a $25 billion (CDN) commercial Crown corporation from command-and-control to one of Canada’s Top 50 Employers.
Kellie has obtained more credentials than a sane human could ever want, yet still found many opportunities to get in her own way. She became fascinated by leadership, power, influence, trust, internal politics, accountability, personal brand, the dynamics of teams, and employee engagement. Kellie has a knack for getting to the heart of the matter – practicality is her middle name. Kellie focuses on engaging people to look deep, have difficult conversations with themselves and others and make tough choices is necessary for professional growth, which – like it or not – always involves personal growth. It’s also the foundation of good business strategy and calculated risk taking.
Prior to becoming an entrepreneur in 2013, Kellie was a Senior VP at Farm Credit Canada, responsible for business strategy, enterprise risk management, the customer experience, and reputation management. She is a communication expert, named Master Communicator and Fellow by the International Association of Business Communicators.
Kellie is passionate about helping others reach their potential. She was named one of Canada’s 100 Most Powerful Women in 2007 and Top 25 Women of Influence in 2012. An ardent volunteer, she also received the Red Cross Humanitarian Award (SK) in 2014, primarily for her work on autism advocacy and Dress for Success.
Kellie is a professional certified coach and corporate director. Kellie also is a Certified Dare to Lead and Daring Way Facilitator, qualified to teach the work of Brené Brown.
