FAQ

You get the same reliable science and speed, with some updated navigation and functionality:

  1. Assessment data is now categorized and stored by Job Target and your Employee Directory, instead of Folders.
  2. Person Type has been streamlined to only Employee and Candidate. Any transferred data that was marked as “other” or “unknown” will be moved to a separate migration list for your organizational admin to review and edit appropriately.
  3. The Synthesis graph has been sunset, and Factor E has been moved to the Self graph, for more accurate insights.
  4. The Job Target creation process has been simplified, with the same science and data to create your targets.
  5. Match Score has been updated to “Fit Rating”.
  6. User permissions now contain different “access levels” by product, instead of by folder restriction, making search navigation more accessible while maintaining control of creating or deleting employee and candidate data. Learn more
  7. New, targeted tips and tricks for how to use the various reports and tools in your software.

Yes!

To reduce admin upkeep and help you find the data you need quicker, we’ve streamlined how we categorize employee and candidate information within the software.

All of your people records will be transferred as part of the upgrade process. However, any records that don’t match the new criteria for being classified as an “employee” or “candidate” will be moved to a new Transferred People page. Use this page to search for and quickly add people to your employee directory or Candidates tab.

All of your jobs, teams, and surveys will also be transferred, and can be found in the following places:

  • Jobs will be located on the “Hiring Center” page in PI Hire. (Requires an active Hire subscription)
  • Teams will be located on the “Team Discovery” page in PI Design. (Requires an active Design subscription)
  • Surveys can be downloaded via the “Download imported reports” hyperlink on the “Survey Center” page in PI Diagnose. (Requires an active Diagnose subscription)

There are a few action items we recommend, to ensure a smooth transition.

  1. Review your user list: Identify any users that should be deactivated and what access level you’d like your users to have in the upgraded platform. Review permissions here.
  2. Identify any active assessment links: Any open invitation links you use will need to be upgraded, once you migrate to the PI2 platform. We recommend you take an inventory of where you’ve embedded assessment links (in recruiting emails, email templates, HRIS/ATS systems, etc) so that you don’t have interruption of service.
  3. Prepare your employee assessment data: This is a great opportunity for a clean slate. We recommend reviewing your completed assessments and updating details including the correct person type for all employees, if they are connected to a job target, and swapping personal emails with work emails.

Users can be assigned one of four access levels, by product:

  • No access: Unable to view or interact with the specified product
  • Limited: Restricted in what they can see and do within the specified product
  • Product admin: Unrestricted access to the specified product; can modify user access levels within that product
  • Organization admin: Unrestricted access to all products; can promote/demote any user, including product admins and other org admins; can access and modify organization settings.

Access levels are set on a per-product basis. For example: If you’re subscribed to PI Hire and PI Design, it’s possible to be a product admin in Hire and a limited user in Design.

Exception: The organization admin is a special-case permission that grants full access to all PI products. An organization admin can only be promoted by an existing org admin.

Unsure how to use access levels? Check out the recommended access levels based on employee roles and responsibilities.

Your candidate links are available on the Hire page. Each job automatically has its own link on the Job page.

You can create net-new invitation links in PI2 at any time. These new links are modifiable.

Please note that Employee links will be available in Q2.

Great news! PI has an updated documentation center with detailed how-to’s and descriptions just for you.
